Our approach focuses on the core configuration, data and decisions needed to prepare your organisation for launch. Your Implementation Consultant will guide your team through each stage and help you prioritise what is needed first.

We’ve designed our process based on customer feedback and prioritised the core configuration and data needed to build a strong foundation, not every future requirement at once.

Which pathway applies to you?

• New to ELMO: We start with a proven approach focused on the core configuration, data and decisions needed to prepare your ELMO products for launch.Your Implementation Consultant will support you with foundational configuration, User acceptance testing (UAT) – guided testing using real-life scenarios to confirm the setup meets your agreed needs and optimisation workshops.
• Existing ELMO customer: Adding an additional product can be more straightforward because we can build on your existing ELMO environment. Speak to your account manager to get you started.
• Implementing Payroll: Payroll implementation is critical to your business, so our approach includes dedicated requirements for data, system setup, testing, timing and go-live readiness.

We run the rollout but you stay in control.

If you’re new to ELMO and implementing one or more non-Payroll products, we’ll start with our Best Practice approach. It uses proven configuration and industry defaults and is suitable for around 70% of implementations. This approach is designed to help your team reach launch readiness. If your requirements are more complex, we can adapt the implementation through a Tailored pathway. Payroll is the exception and follows a separate implementation pathway, with its own data, configuration, testing and readiness requirements.

ELMO runs the rollout while you stay in control. We guide configuration, testing and launch readiness so you can make progress without solving every requirement on day one.

We help you identify what matters first, make decisions at the right time and add further detail as your agreed scope develops. Your final pathway is confirmed based on the products you are implementing, scope, dependencies and available resources.

Best Practice is our standard consultant-led approach and is the pathway for 70% of ELMO implementations. It includes proven configuration and industry defaults that have been successful for over 17,000 implementations. An Implementation Consultant works with you throughout the process. The approach includes hypercare, optimisation and enablement support to help your team reach launch readiness.

It includes:

We begin with the foundational data needed to set up your ELMO environment. As your implementation progresses, you provide more data for configuration, testing and integrations.You may begin with the employee identity and access data needed to create users and start testing, then provide broader HR, Payroll, integration or optimisation data when it is needed for the next stage. You choose the final rollout timing.

Best Practice is most suitable when:

• Your requirements align with the standard ELMO approach.
• You can provide the required data, people and decisions on time.
• Your existing processes do not require significant customisation.
• Your integrations and technical requirements are understood and within the agreed scope.

Tailored requirements and Payroll will change the sequence, timing and governance.

Tailored includes everything in Best Practice, with additional delivery support for more complex implementations. This may include a dedicated Project Manager, additional governance and coordination, extended configuration, train-the-trainer support and a review of your technical requirements. It is most relevant for non-standard workflows, existing configuration, multiple entities or regions, complex integrations or more involved data coordination.

A Tailored pathway may change:

• The timing and governance.
• The technical or implementation scoping required.

The agreed pathway, responsibilities and timing are confirmed before implementation begins.

ELMO Payroll implementation is carefully designed to support your business needs, ensuring a well-planned integration that adapts as your organisation grows.

For customers implementing Payroll, a dedicated plan will guide you through your Payroll journey.

For implementations that involve more complex environments, a Project Manager will work closely with your team. Payroll implementations follow a separate process and are not included in the 60-day Best Practice approach.
