ELMO Employee Sentiment Index – Australian Information Technology Sector

28% of Australian workers in the information technology (IT) sector have been actively searching for a new role in another company. This is significantly higher than the national average of 19%. 

That’s according to ELMO’s snapshot report of the Employee Sentiment Index (April – June 2021), which contrasts the Australian information technology sector against the national response on key areas of job security, worker wellbeing and attitudes towards vaccination.

Key findings in this report include that workers in the IT sector are:

• More confident in the economy than the rest of the nation
• Less likely to feel burnt out but are more likely to feel bored at work compared to the rest of the nation
• Eager to progress their careers within their current workplace
