Rather than building simple point-to-point links, Evoke introduced enterprise-wide integration layers that offered scalable, secure and sustainable connections between ELMO and the wider systems customers relied on. This approach, more commonly seen in large enterprises, was adapted to suit the mid-market, giving organisations a more robust integration framework without the typical enterprise-level costs or complexity.

Although Nish had been familiar with ELMO for more than a decade, the partnership formally took shape when a former colleague joined ELMO’s partner team. From the first conversation, the alignment was clear. 

As Nish recalled, “We’ve always admired local companies that are trying to bring meaningful technology to market. Partnering with ELMO was less about commercial gain and more about supporting a great Australian business to scale.”

With Evoke establishing itself in the ANZ market, the partnership offered an opportunity to contribute to a homegrown technology platform while deepening their understanding of the local market and expanding their exposure to mid-market organisations.

Evoke’s onboarding into the ELMO partner ecosystem was streamlined and focused. Unlike other partnerships requiring extensive product certification, Evoke primarily needed access to ELMO’s APIs and introductions across the sales and presales teams.

Once these connections were made, collaboration accelerated quickly. Nish noted that “all we needed was access, introductions and clarity on who to speak with. The team opened every door for us, it was quick, transparent and supportive.”

As the partnership evolved, Evoke began assisting ELMO’s team in understanding the strategic value of enterprise-grade integrations and how these solutions could elevate customer outcomes. 

This shift gradually transformed the perception of integrations from an afterthought into a core value-add.

Evoke’s role now extends beyond technical execution to broader solution discovery across automation, AI, workflows and system design. Customer conversations increasingly highlight the importance of secure, future-focused integrations, even when that isn’t the starting point.

One workshop with a major Australian organisation demonstrated this clearly. When Evoke referenced ELMO briefly, the customer immediately responded that they were already an ELMO user. Nish described the moment as a turning point: “The reaction was instant. We mentioned ELMO, and suddenly we were seen as a trusted extension of their ecosystem.”

Experiences like this reinforced the credibility of the partnership and the value Evoke brings to ELMO customers. To support these conversations, Evoke has developed more than 40 integration use cases that showcase how ELMO can be strengthened across finance, payroll, industry-specific platforms and core operational systems.

Although commercial gain was not the original motivation, the partnership has played a significant role in sharpening Evoke’s strategy in the region. Through dozens of proposals, solution workshops and proof-of-concept engagements, the team gained valuable insights into the needs and technology maturity of mid-market organisations.

Vishnu emphasised this point, noting that “understanding mid-market customer needs has been the biggest advantage of this partnership. ELMO helped us learn exactly where to focus and upskill our teams.”

This clarity now influences Evoke’s growth priorities, capability development and regional expansion strategy.
