A point system that addresses a particularly pressing need might seem like a logical choice. For example, if you need a learning system, you implement a learning system. In the short term, that works, but if your plan is to move towards complete automation of a suite of HR functions, you should be investigating an integrated solution.

Don’t confuse an integrated solution with a handful of different point systems that “talk” to each other. Unfortunately, they often don’t communicate as well as they should. Look for an integrated platform that can manage all your HR processes, incorporate your payroll data and enable meaningful reporting.

ELMO uses a variety of sources and subscriptions to ensure our content development team are across any changes in legislation, with dedicated individuals conducting compliance audits and maintaining our content.

Where possible, we will always endeavour to update our modules prior to legislation updates coming into effect. This ensures visibility and access to content in a time frame that allows businesses to deploy the updated modules and retain compliance as legislation changes.

ELMO has a dedicated content management team responsible for maintaining our existing content, and developing new content. Our expansive content team, which includes legal and industry-specific experts, are able to rapidly and effectively respond to content updates and deploy them within a short time frame should the need arise.

Single Touch Payroll (STP) was introduced in 2018 to support real-time digital interactions between employers and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

A second phase of the STP program was introduced as of 1 January 2022. This ‘STP Phase 2’ requires employers to submit additional information through the STP system on or before each payday. This will allow a wider range of government agencies to leverage the STP infrastructure to receive the payroll data that employers provide.

ELMO can help you stay up to date with legislation using our STP Phase 2–compliant software ELMO Payroll.

Because ELMO Software is provided on a “software-as-a-service” subscription basis, implementation time is dramatically shorter than with legacy systems. Our in-house approach to development, implementation and support ensures our client rollout experience is fast, smooth and successful. This removes many of the costs and headaches associated with large-scale software implementations, provides seamless integration with legacy HRIS / HCM solutions, and provides the added benefit of rapid, painless upgrades as new features are released.

ELMO is ISO2700-:2013 certified.
